SEA CLIFF CIVIC'S SUB-ZERO SCAVENGERS FIND LOVE DESPITE SNOW
By Ann DiPietro “Sea Cliff Civic Association Loves You” was the theme of the latest event sponsored by- yes- the Sea Cliff Civic Association. The brain child of Tina Marchese, the event took the form of a scavenger hunt with clever rhyming clues provided by aspiring poet Paul Marchese.
To set the mood, earlier in the week at the Children’s Library, families had gathered to discuss the book “Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch,” a tale about what good things can happen when people show love and interest in one another.
Early on Valentine’s Day morning, bright red shopping bags filled with sweet treats were placed throughout the Village. At exactly 11am, the clues were posted on Face Book for all to see. Despite zero degree temperatures, many hardy residents ventured out and found that the Civic Association does indeed love everyone!
