North Shore Incoming Sixth Graders Participate in Orientation & BBQ
North Shore Schools, Glen Head, August 21, 2013 -- On August 21st, Principal Dr. Marc Ferris and Assistant Principal Rachel Green welcomed the incoming Sixth Grade Class of 2013-14 to North Shore Middle School. The 216 students were graciously greeted by the middle school administrators, faculty and staff and participated in an orientation. Principal Ferris reiterated the school slogan, Everyone Matters, Everyone Cares, Everyone Learns, and assured his students that, “North Shore Middle School is a place where everyone feels that they matter, where everyone takes the time to care about the individual needs of others, and where everyone feels safe and inspired to learn.”
During the orientation, the sixth graders took a tour of their classrooms, opened their lockers, participated in fun meet and greet games, and enjoyed a delicious BBQ sponsored by the Middle School PTO. We wish all of the six graders the best of luck!
