North Shore Schools, Glen Head, NY - On March 20th and 21st, seventh and eighth graders of North Shore Middle School performed in "School Daze," a middle school comedy by Lindsay Price, under the direction of teachers Mr. Lang, Mr. Messemer, Mr. Chillemi and Ms. Shea.
“School Daze” is a vignette play with short scenes exploring common middle school themes such as mastering locker combinations, dealing with bullies, and what to wear. The ensemble cast worked with their teachers on the first-ever StagE3 production weaving student written vignettes written by Olivia Nester, Sophia Barbetta and Sarina Koli with the script by Lindsay Price. Students were not only asked to collaborate but learned many important theatrical techniques such as improvisation and impersonation, with an emphasis of coming together as a theater troupe.
