Presenting the award, Glen Cove Mayor Reginald Spinello stated, “Charles McQuair personifies the vision of the Joseph M. Reilly Award as it recognizes a person’s fairness, dedication and concern for one’s community. I am honored to present Charlie with this special award and thank him for all of his contributions to the City of Glen Cove,” McQuair accepted the award, recalling that “Joe Reilly told me that the relationships and friendship that I would forge from this committee would last me a life time and far exceed any loss for public office.”
