LIFEGUARDS WANTED FOR CITY OF GLEN COVE'S SUMMER 2017 BEACH SEASON
Summer Job is Guaranteed Upon Completion of American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
April 28, 2017, Glen Cove, NY…For active and athletic-minded men and women turning age 16 and over, the City of Glen Cove wants you to consider a summer job as a lifeguard. Candidates from Glen Cove who have successfully completed an American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course and the Nassau County certification tests, all participants will be guaranteed summer employment at the Glen Cove beaches this year and be reimbursed for the cost of the American Red Cross course fee.
“The American Red Cross training course offers a great way to get in shape while ensuring Glen Cove residents a summer job,” said Mayor Reggie Spinello. “Many lifeguards find their jobs an exciting and rewarding one with competitive pay and an opportunity to work outside,” added Darcy Belyea, Director of the Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Department.
During peak season, the City of Glen Cove beaches are staffed seven days a week and work schedules are flexible to meet an individual’s need on a full-time or part-time basis. Glen Cove beaches will open on Saturday, May 27 and interested parties may call the Glen Cove Department of Parks & Recreation at (516) 676-3766.
