NORTH SHORE BOE/TOWN MEETING -
2016-17 INITIAL BUDGET PRESENTATION BY SUPERINTENDENT MELNICK

There will be a North Shore Board of Education/Town Meeting on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at North Shore High School Library. At this important meeting Superintendent Dr. Edward Melnick will present the initial budget proposal for 2016-2017. At the town meeting, the public will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding this topic or any others. Also, on the agenda will be an IB Update. READ MORE Over the next couple of months, Trustees will then begin diligently reviewing the school budget. They strongly encourage all of our residents to get involved early, attend Board meetings, learn the facts, and stay informed. Please join us at upcoming BOE meetings on the following dates in the HS Library at 7:30 p.m. (unless noted otherwise): 1/28 (Budget Review at North Shore Middle School), 2/11 (Budget Review),, 2/25 (Budget Review), 3/10 (Budget Review), 3/31 (Budget Review), 4/14 (Budget Adoption), Wednesday, 4/20 (Meet the Candidates Night, HS Cafeteria, 8 PM), and 5/5 (BOE Town Meeting/Budget Reading. The board will convene into executive session usually prior to each meeting (these are not open to the public). The Budget/Tax Levy Vote and Election of Trustees is on Tuesday, 5/17 in the North Shore High School Gym from 7 a.m. -10 p.m. Information regarding the school budget can be found on the district website at www.northshoreschools.org.
