The Sea Glen Tennis Club will open for its 54th year of uninterrupted operation on Saturday, May 6, 2017.
The not for profit club, which began play on three courts in Glen Head, moved to seven Har-Tru courts at the Cedar Brook Country Club off Chicken Valley Road in Old Brookville several years ago.
The club for tennis players of various levels offers Open Tennis on the weekends, men’s and women’s traveling teams during the week and Intramurals Play and barbeque on Thursday evenings. Pre-arranged games can be scheduled for weekdays and weekend afternoons. Club tournaments are held periodically.
“It’s a fun tennis club”, reports Board President, Maureen Bell of Sea Cliff. “People who enjoy tennis and look forward to some exercise can have a great time. Everyone is very social and supportive. New members are welcome”.
A single membership is $900 for a season that begins in May and runs through November, weather permitting. A family membership is $1,475. For information, call Bonnie Davies at 516-944-8966.
